Home This Season! Photos History Hours & Directions

Veggies! Tis the season for fresh local produce, and we are happy to provide. The rainy weather has been tough on all of us, but we're moving past a slow start into a delicious summer! When I was a kid, I thought ourownfresh was one word, meaning "from Smith Farm." I'm always startled when someone else advertises something as their own fresh.

Right now, we're picking summer squash, zucchini, beets, Swiss chard, three kinds of beans, and a whole lot more. We're just a few days away from our own corn. The ears this year are on the small side, but that just concentrates the sugar, leaving you with some really sweet flavor. After some rainy setbacks, the tomatoes are starting up, and with luck, we'll have plenty of them soon.

And you can always get a wide assortment of local foods, from Harris Inn salad dressing, to the fabulous Ya Mamma's sauces, local honey, pies, and maple syrup. Tom taste tests all of these personally, so you know they're only the best.
